Finance is at the center of making this vision a reality, and the Finance Manager, Gaming Finance, is a central role that supports the entirety of the multi-billion-dollar Xbox business to innovate, disrupt, and expand the gaming opportunity worldwide. In this role, you will focus on promoting end-to-end financial rhythm of the business process excellence for CFO (Chief Financial Officer) close and external reporting deliverables, while supporting a financial plan rooted in the Gaming strategic vision and pushing for a high bar of business growth. You will engage in extensive cross group collaboration across a wide set of stakeholders, including engineering, marketing, business development and other finance teams (includes both engineering and central finance). You will partner with the leaders and team members on the Xbox Finance team and Gaming Leadership team to drive growth and expand our total addressable market to the billions of gamers around the world. This role can be up to 100% work from home. Candidates locally near our Redmond, WA offices are to be Hybrid with a mix of work from home and in-office days. Responsibilities

  • Drive end-to-end financial process excellence for Gaming Finance's monthly and quarterly close rhythms, including any external reporting due diligence.
  • Partner with a broad set of teams to drive insight and analytics into the key drivers of the Gaming business and be an integral part of the Gaming Finance team, successfully partnering across the many key players that drive the overall Gaming business.
  • Provide business leaders with financial perspective, enabling solutions that support critical strategic initiatives and maximize return on investment.
  • Design new approaches to collecting and evaluating financial data and creating additional value by translating data into actionable insights and implement creative ways to communicate findings from data.
  • Orchestrate the comprehensive system of accounting policies, procedures, and controls, and maintain accountability for internal control processes and procedures.
  • Advocate for Microsoft's filing position with auditors, document findings, and share results with impacted business groups.
  • Drive compliance and controllership objectives through partnerships, and mitigate emerging statutory, tax, regulatory, and fiduciary risks.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership, finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years of experience with financial management reporting.
  • Competency with Microsoft Office, primarily Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Project management and organization skills with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and reprioritize as necessary to align with current business objectives.
  • Demonstrated communication skills to management and executive audiences, including data-driven storytelling and influencing abilities.
  • Attention to detail and strength in process management: setting deliverables, formats, calendar, ensuring quality, managing reviews and data audits, and delivering output.
  • Familiarity or experience with Microsoft financial analysis and reporting processes and tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 3+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 5+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience OR equivalent experience.
