Aon is recruiting for a cybersecurity operations analyst to join our team. This is a remote role that can be performed from anywhere within the India (but the base location would be Gurugram, Haryana).

What the day will look like

Aon’s Security Operations Center (SOC) seeks to be at the forefront of cybersecurity excellence, driving innovation and best practice to protect our organization and stakeholders from emerging cyber risks. By adopting a DevOps culture and intelligence-driven strategy, our SOC strives to build a secure, resilient environment and workforce, fostering trust and assuring all who rely on us to protect their data are in safe hands. As a Cybersecurity Operations Analyst within the APAC Region, you’ll play a meaningful role in supporting this vision. You will drive the team to success by supporting ticket triage, event correlation, incident response and other security activities. This position will perform supervising across all systems in a global enterprise footprint as part of a global team.

Skills and experience that will lead to success / Technical & Analytical Skills

  • Proficient in writing structured incident reports and technical findings (Strong written and verbal communication skills to optimally communicate and present security risk concepts with business and technology partners.)

  • Skilled in log analysis and scripting (Python, PowerShell)

  • Familiarity with investigative tooling

  • Understanding of identity and cloud-based detection signals

  • Proven understanding of the security landscape, including prevalent threats, existing technologies, and modern security architectures.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related Information Technology field, or equivalent experience.

 

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • 3–5 years in SOC, IR, or threat detection/triage roles

  • Strong understanding of attacker TTPs (MITRE ATT&CK)

  • Experience investigating alerts and escalations using:

    • CrowdStrike Falcon

    • LogScale

    • XSOAR

    • Wiz

    • Okta

    • ZScaler

    • Qualys

  • Ability to distinguish true positives from false positives

  • Clear communication of incident context

Operational & Collaborative Capabilities
  • Comfortable in a global, 24x7 follow-the-sun operations model

  • Flexible across time zones

  • Effective collaboration with:

    • Threat intelligence

    • Vulnerability management

    • Engineering

    • Infrastructure teams

 

Case Management & Communication

  • Experience using ticketing platforms:

    • XSOAR

    • ServiceNow

    • Jira

  • Strong communication skills for varied audiences

  • Demonstrated critical thinking and situational awareness

  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent investigations or escalation
