<strong>Description<br><br></strong>The North America Environmental Assurance and Protection (EAP) organization is seeking a Operations Multi-Site Environmental Manager (MSEM) to support Operations across the Midwest Region. This role supports multiple sites (20+) within Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee and Missouri.<br><br>The MSEM will develop standards and policies to support regulatory compliance as well as partner with operations leadership teams for execution of these standards and policies, ensuring compliance with all applicable county/locations, specific Federal, State/Provincial, and local laws and regulations.<br><br>The MSEM is site-based and visits assigned sites in the region. The MSEM travels greater than 50% of the time. The MSEM is based is in the region, where different sites are located.<br><br>Key job responsibilities<br><br><ul><li> Manage and execute multi-site responsibilities to comply with air emissions, storm water, waste, wastewater and other environmental related laws, regulations and permits. This includes required Federal, State and local reporting.</li><li> Manage and execute business conformance with Amazon EAP Management Systems policies. Develop Amazon Geo-Specific Operational Environmental Procedures by integrating with engineering, construction and operations.</li><li> Lead regulatory agency interactions, permit evaluation and processing, and new process and technology introduction.</li><li> Primary point of contact for environmental regulatory agencies and represent Amazon at appropriate levels with governmental agencies and throughout the company.</li><li> Ensure work performed by contractors, consultants, and employees is completed in accordance with regulatory requirements and Amazon standards.</li><li> Monitor environmental metrics to review trends to determine where improvements are needed.</li><li> Conduct thorough and accurate environmental inspections and audits for continuous improvement.</li><li> Prioritize and manage multiple, technically complex assignments, concurrently.</li><li> Build and manage collaborative relationships with various stakeholders to ensure risks are identified early and managed appropriately.</li><li> Compile and submit time critical reports to various governmental agencies.</li><li> Complete environmental incident investigations and associated regulatory reports, and develop appropriate corrective actions.</li><li> Ensure site leadership and associates are trained and knowledgeable of their responsibilities under each policy.<br><br></li></ul>A day in the life<br><br>The MSEM will complete environmental performance analysis, establish and monitor metrics, and guide the operations leadership teams in implementation of Amazon environmental standards. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
