Well, we are looking for a Procurement Specialist who will bring excellent communication skills and a drive to continuously improve procurement operations.  You will report to the Manager of Procurement and will be responsible for working collaboratively across Calendly to scale our procurement function.</p> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>A day in the life of a Procurement Specialist at Calendly</strong></h2> <p>As a Procurement Specialist, you will serve as a crucial link between our internal stakeholders and vendors, effectively bridging gaps and ensuring that business requirements are met with a high degree of professionalism and positivity. In this dynamic role, you will be expected to operate with a sense of urgency and adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment. Your focus will be on enhancing processes and supporting the scalable growth of Calendly.</p> <p>On a typical day, <strong>you</strong> will be working on: </p> <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Assist in the management of contract processes for new agreements, renewals, and amendments, primarily for SaaS and other indirect goods and services. Help to gather requirements and prepare documentation under the guidance of senior colleagues.</li> <li>Collaborate with business owners and experts to understand and verify the business needs behind purchase requests, helping to ensure alignment with organizational goals.</li> <li>Work alongside key departments such as legal, IT, information security, privacy, and finance to facilitate discussions on commercial terms and legal compliance, focusing on the administrative aspects of these collaborations.</li> <li>Onboard and off-board third party vendors and support ongoing vendor relationships.</li> <li>Generate and maintain accurate Purchase Orders (POs) in partnership with accounts payable.</li> <li>Organize and support the execution of sourcing events like RFPs, focusing on supporting senior staff in preparation and administrative tasks to ensure efficient execution and risk management.</li> <li>Report on procurement outcomes and participate in identifying opportunities for improving procurement processes, systems, and policies.</li> <li>Act as point person on the daily operational tasks of the procurement department, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.</li> </ul> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>What do we need from you?</strong></h2> <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Minimum of 2 years of procurement experience required, tech sector preferred</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field is preferred </li> <li>Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once</li> <li>Effective communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment</li> <li>Must be skilled in a digital environment.
